TERMS & CONDITIONS

We’re pleased to welcome you aboard Vedanta, and we truly hope you have a memorable and enjoyable trip. To help everything run smoothly and ensure clear communication, we’ve outlined a few key terms and conditions below. These are in place to ensure that everyone stays safe, informed, and able to enjoy the best possible experience with us.

1. Bookings & Payment Policy

1.1 To secure a reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total charter fee is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 4 (four) calendar days prior to the scheduled charter date. Invoices will be issued following confirmation of booking details and are payable within 4 (four) days of issuance.

1.2 For bookings made within 48 hours of the departure, 100% full payment is required immediately upon confirmation.

1.3 A booking is not deemed confirmed until full payment has been received by Outborn Watercraft – Vedanta. Accepted payment methods include debit/credit cards (Visa/MasterCard), bank transfer, payment link or cash.

1.4 Upon confirmation, guests are required to submit valid identification (e.g., passport) for maritime permit processing, as mandated by authorities.

2. Changes & Cancellation Policy

2.1 One (1) date change is permitted free of charge, provided the request is made at least 7 (seven) days prior to the charter date and is subject to availability.

2.2 Date changes requested within 7 days of departure will incur a rescheduling fee of IDR 1,000,000.

2.3 In cases of cancellation mandated by the Harbor Master or Maritime Authorities due to adverse weather or unsafe sea conditions, an alternative date will be offered. If rescheduling is not possible due to conditions officially deemed unsafe by the Port Authority or the Captain, a credit voucher valid for 6 (six) months will be provided. This voucher is transferable and may be used by the original guest or reassigned to another individual.

If the trip has already begun and must return early due to sudden weather changes, a credit voucher may be offered instead of a refund, depending on how much of the trip was completed. Weather-related cancellation decisions are made at least 2 (two) hours prior to the scheduled departure time, unless unexpected conditions arise during the trip.

Partial refunds may be issued only in the event of a verified technical failure that significantly impacts the operation of the vessel during the trip, or in exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of Outborn Watercraft – Vedanta following formal review. All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 7 (seven) days of the trip’s completion. Outborn Watercraft reserves the right to determine the amount and terms of any refund granted.

2.4 Cancellation Fees:

  • More than 14 days prior to charter: Full refund
  • 14 to 7 days prior: 50% of total fee forfeited
  • 7 to 4 days prior: 70% of total fee forfeited
  • Less than 4 days prior: 100% of total fee forfeited
  • Same-day cancellation: No refund
  • No-shows or cancellations due to guest’s personal circumstances: No refund

2.5 No refunds will be issued for early termination of the trip at the guest’s request (e.g., due to seasickness), provided the Harbor Master has deemed sea conditions safe. Guests are responsible for managing their own sea-readiness, including:

  • Taking motion sickness medication 24 hours prior and again 2 hours prior to departure
  • Avoiding alcohol 24 hours before departure
  • Requesting anti-seasickness medication at least 48 hours in advance, if needed

3. Health, Safety & Behavior

3.1 Guests must be in good physical health and able to swim and participate in water activities.

3.2 Outborn Watercraft – Vedanta strongly recommends that guests obtain travel, health, accident, and luggage insurance.

3.3 Outborn Watercraft – Vedanta is not liable for any injury, illness, accident, or consequences incurred during the charter.

3.4 We reserve the right to cancel or terminate the trip without refund if a guest’s behavior or health compromises the safety or experience of others.

4. Force Majeure

Outborn Watercraft – Vedanta is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by unforeseen events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, weather conditions, war, civil unrest, epidemics, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, affected bookings may be rescheduled or granted transferable credit valid for up to 24 months.

5. Prohibited Items

For the safety of all guests and crew, the following items are strictly prohibited onboard:

  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition
  • Illegal drugs or narcotics

Any guest found in possession of these items may be denied boarding, removed from the vessel, and subject to legal consequences. Outborn Watercraft reserves the right to confiscate any dangerous or prohibited items.

By confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
